I've got exciting news and a campaign effort or two for you today:
 
NEWS
Tomorrow afternoon, Mike Huckabee will be in Huntsville AL.  If you are interested in more info on his visit, let me know.
 
Our organizer, Mark West, has lots of yard signs, buttons, and bumper stickers.  We need to get as many of these out as possible over the weekend.  Contact Mark ([address removed]) or come to tomorrow's event to get these campaign supplies - available below cost!
 
Tomorrow afternoon, right here in our area, we have a campaign event scheduled as well: we'll be driving some classic cars (think Corvette convertibles) up and down Gunbarrel Road and in and around Hamilton Place and Walmart in CHATT, waving Huckabee signs and handing out flyers.  Wear your campaign pins and big smiles and come participate in encouraging people to vote for Mike.
 
MONDAY:  BIGGEST NEWS!!  We learned last night at the CHATT meetup that Mike Huckabee will be in Chattanooga on Monday!!!  Mark West will email y'all with more info as he gets it from the campaign, but start the 'whispering campaign' this weekend with your friends and neighbors and at those SuperBowl parties to build enthusiasm and excitement for his visit!
 
TUESDAY:  Another big day - the Primary Election!!
North Georgia needs folks to be at various polling places (150 feet away from them) to wave signs and hand out flyers.  Prime times are before 9 am, around noon, and 5 pm on.  If you can take responsibility for your own voting precinct, please let me know ASAP so that I can get you a sign and materials.  Email me at [address removed] if you can help.  To paraphrase Home Depot:
'We can do it!  We all can help!'

Finally, I continue to be struck by how important it is that we make contact with our own set of friends and neighbors about Mike Huckabee.  They will listen to a friend even more closely than to a political pundit or the media.  I wrote a one-page essay on why I believe Mike Huckabee is the only Republican who can defeat Hillary Clinton and/or Barack Obama.  I've attached my essay to this email; below is the cover note I sent with it to friends from my email list.  Please use this essay and/or your own version of my note and send it to as many friends as you can as soon as possible!  We recognize that members of the media are not our friends and that the political pundits and conservative icons are determined to ignore Mike and the thousands of grassroots conservatives he represents.  Let your voice carry his message to people who are important in your life and who believe, as we do, that this election is a seminal event for America.  Don't let your friends support another Republican by default, believing that Mike has no chance.  That's a self-fulfilling prophecy, the application of which will hurt us all!  Encourage the people you know and care about to vote their consciences, not throw away their vote yet again for a Republican who does not represent our values.  Encourage them to cast their vote for the candidate best able to lead America forward: Mike Hcukabee!

If you received our Christmas newsletter this year, you know that several members of our family have been working hard in the grassroots effort for former Governor Mike Huckabee.  As we in Tennessee and Georgia (and 20 other states) prepare to cast our votes or caucus in our primaries on Tuesday, I wanted to share with you a short note about Mike.
 
Mike Huckabee is a man of incredible integrity and faith.  He has government experience, he understands the important role of a servant leader, and he is a strong believer.  In the attached one-page note, I describe reasons why I believe Mike would be the only Republican candidate able to raise the standard of social conservatives AND attract Heartland Americans to vote for him.
 
Please take a few moments to view the attached note.  If you haven't researched Mike, please check out his website (www.mikehuckabee.com) regarding his position on issues important to you.  I believe you will like what you see.
 
Then, if you would, commit to voting for Mike, AND to passing this attachment on to the people on your own email list.  He needs our grassroots support to continue the campaign.  Your vote for this outstanding man will make all the difference!
