Hi All,
As many of you know, I have been keeping up with the counting process of Absentee and Provisional ballots in our Feb 5th primary that are still not processed (verified and counted). As of the latest update by the Secty of State's Office, there remains over 477,000 ballots still left to be counted. The deadline by law is 28 days after the election. This deadline is Tuesday, March 4th. Then the Secty of State has 4 days after that, March 11 to certify our election. I have not yet been successful in finding a statute that explains what would happen if this counting process is not complete by the 28th day. Judging by watching the daily progress since Feb 5th, this is a possibility. I for one will voice my outrage if CA's vote is certified without over 477,000 of our votes remaining uncounted and don't believe legally that this could be done. I am going to call tomorrow morning and find out what this situation actually is and what will happen if all votes are not completed by Tuesday. Every time I have called election officials they have completely agreed with my analysis that based on the number of ballots still not counted, "CA is Undetermined and the media should not be reporting that anyone has actually won most of CA's delegates". I'm still looking for that miracle tomorrow, that will keep Huck in the race.
It would be great if Huck could somehow pick up a few more delagates in California. Pray hard for Huck tomorrow, & we'll let God handle the rest! John-boy |
