Become a delegate!!!

One of Mike's big moments of truth awaits today. I want to encourage you all to do everything that you can to help tomorrow be yet another day that stuns the pundits and leaves Mike in the victory circle. First and foremost, make sure that you vote, if you haven?t already. If your friends, family or neighbors support Mike, make sure they get to the polls and if they support John McCain, try to talk them out of it! :-)
Please get this out to everyone that you can (for any MeetUp organizers please post this on the calenders of any groups in Texas). We just want to make sure that people understand the two-fold process, especially considering the extremely high number of advance voters. I want to say a special thank to Joshua Craven who provided this information and is working hard for Mike down in the great state of Texas.
The link below discusses the precinct conventions that are held immediately after the polls close tonight (after everyone has voted). We are asking that if there is any way possible, please try to attend, as this is when the delegates are selected and becoming a delegate becomes hugely important later at the convention. Encourage everyone to run, you can always drop out later if timing and schedules do not allow, but you can only enter the delegate pool tonight; that is your one chance.
This article from the Texas GOP explains the process extremely well, so please take a moment to read it. It will offer a clear look at what takes place and it will familiarize people who may not have attended before.

As with other states, please encourage Huckabee supporters to arrive early and to bring materials supporting Mike that can be displayed and distributed at the precinct convention that night. Bring more than you think then you could ever need because you can always send your extras to places like Mississippi later. We want to make sure there are as many Mike Huckabee signs visible and position papers (especially papers explaining Mike winning through a brokered convention to remind people how Mike can and will win) there on the tables and as people enter. This effort helps sell Mike later for when he becomes the nominee. The important part is that you and all of the other Huckabee supporters you know attend and get elected as delegates.
You do not have to identify yourself as Huckabee supporter, judge the room to see if that is to your advantage or not. Speak to the issues you stand for if asked and try to get elected! Your becoming a delegate is crucial to Mike's success this fall at the convention.
Lastly, remember what we are fighting for: a candidate who can excite our Republican base to the polls this fall, a man who is not afraid to acknowledge his faith or stand up for conservative values and a man who would whip Barack or Hillary so bad in a debate that either one would really cry. We are fighting for and alongside a man who has put in 14-20 hour days for 14 months, who is personally laying it on the line without any income and who has run the most cost effective race so far. We are fighting for a man whose ability to communicate can draw voters from across the aisle to our side and whose wise demeanor will restore civility to politics. We are fighting for someone who is fighting for us, for our values and for our future. We must hold the line in Texas for Mike.

Let's win the battle of Texas for Mike so that he can win the war this fall!
