About Traverse City for President Huckabee in 2008 Meetup Group

We are a group with a variety of backgrounds but all with the desire to see Mike Huckabee elected as President of US in 2008. The group is based in Traverse City, and is the local version of the "Huckabee Grassroots Campaign" groups that are all over Michigan and throughout the Country. We had our first meeting on January 10th, did some "Pre-Primary" brainstorming and sharing ideas.

This site is intended to be a resource for those who want to learn more about Gov Huckabee and where he stands on the issues that matter most to us. Also to share information from other groups and supporters of Huckabee for President.

Subject: I Like Mike & Character does Count

CHARACTER does COUNT. As one who appreciates the liberties afforded to the citizens of the United States, I also appreciate that Character bought us that liberty. Responsible citizenship includes the duty to Pray for (1 Tim 2:1-3), and to Praise our Government (1 Peter 2:17).

Likewise, I appreciate that Mike Huckabee responded when God called him to be part of the political process and run for the Office of the President. Huckabee has a vision for our nation that includes securing our borders, a plan for Fair Tax, maintaining the right to keep and bear arms, and amending our Constitution in support of Human Life. I trust we will see God's Blessing if we elect a leader for our nation who is righteous (Prov 16:12), wise (Prov 8;12, 15-16) and absolutely honest (Prov 17:7 & Prov 20:28). Our nation's leader must be a defender and protector of the weak and defenseless (Prov 31:8-9; Psalm 94:20-21). I believe that Mike Huckabee is our nation?s best hope for our future.
