Summer is ending and the 2010 Political Season is getting underway. It is important that we remember what we are here for, to promote Gov. Mike Huckabee, and organize for him in anticipation of his future endeavors. But our nation and our state are facing unprecedented challenges and we must play a role in making positive change for the future. I have been watching Gov Huckabee very carefully over the last several months, and it is clear that he has decided to take on a higher profile role in the leadership of the conservative movement and the Republican Party. It is also clear that he would want us to take part in the upcoming elections to help provide positive solutions for our nation's challenges. That is why I want to use this platform to encourage you to get involved in the 2010 elections. Huck-A-Boomers need to gain the experience in political activism that will carry Huck over the finish line in 2012.

This season will offer many great candidated for you to work for, but I would like to introduce you to two at this time. As the year progresses I hope to suggest others, although these introductions should in no way be interpreted as endorsements by Gov Huckabee. I am however trying to limit these suggestions to candidates that are in favor of Mike Huckabee's basic policy ideas: tax reform, right to life, right to bear arms, limited government and family values.

Marco Rubio is an outstanding choice for US Senate and an unbelieveable leader for our party. His tenure as Speaker of the Florida House was highly successful, with him leading the GOP led legislature to achievements too numerous to mention here. Carey Baker has served honorably in the Florida House and Senate, as well as our Armed Forces. He is a businessman with a keen sense for what conservatives are looking for. His family runs the oldest gun shop in Central Florida and he is seeking the office of Agriculture Commisioner. If these are not the right candidates for you there will be others I will point out in the weeks to come. I feel it is vital that we all get involved and understand how a campaign works and what we are able to do in a campaign so that we are prepared for Mike Huckabee in the future.

I am so excited, I just can't wait.
