Mike Huckabee will be in the Birmingham area THIS Saturday, January 26th! PLEASE make sure to mark your calendars right now for this great event! Try to leave all afternoon/evening open for this rally.

Many states will not have the opportunity to have Mike Huckabee visit them, so we need to take this chance and bring the largest crowd he's seen yet! We need to let Mike know that Alabama supports him!

PLEASE be sure to invite everyone that you know to come and hear Mike speak. Bring your family! If you have an undecided friend, bring them along! When people see Mike speak, they usually become supporters.

More details will be coming soon!

God Bless,
- Andy Hudson
P.S. If you haven't seen the "I Heart Huckabee" video already, it's a very good motivator ;) You can see it here: http://youtube.com/wa...

I am from Troy and have not been able to attend a meetup, but I am excited about the opportunity to hear Gov. Huckabee in person. I am planning to be there!

Who attended?

  • 145 attendees

We had 2000 + people to show up! I consider this a success! Way to go Alabama For Huckabee Team. Yee HAW!!

It was absolutely amazing! We expected a few hundred people, and easily had triple that. It was great to have Gov. Huckabee visit, and he was even more impressive in person! Now is the time to take this momentum and keep using it to gain more votes for Mike Huckabee! He can win the nomination, but he hasn't won yet...

This was our 1st political event. I'm glad we went, but was disappointed we had to sit in the "overflow" area, mostly because I don't think that crowd was as enthusiastic. We should have gotten there earlier - I arrived around 3:30 and ended up just standing in line until right before he spoke. I worry that because we were stuck so far back in line, we may have missed out on something because by the time we got to the lobby, it was crowded and kind of chaotic. Finally, someone showed us to the overflow area & several people still didn't realize that we would only be hearing the speech. I realize that there was a bigger turn-out than expected but it probably could have gone better. Also, I REALLY would have liked my 2 year old to have had his picture taken with Huckabee, but couldn't afford to pay $250 for it. On a positive note, I really enjoyed hearing Gov. Huckabee speak. It made me like even more! Also, my son and I received lots of compliments on our Huckabee t-shirts.

Amazing event. I missed the BAMA-Auburn for it, but it was well worth it. We WILL WIN Alabama!

Dissappointed... got there a little before 3:15 and waited in line until they opened the doors and got cut off 5 people from the door. I mostly came to be sure there was a good turn out and there was... as I was leaving there were still people lined up around the block. I am a communter student at Samford (finishing 20 years after I started...) Someone should have been prepared to change venue when there were so many people lined up and hour before it was scheduled. To allow them all to stand in the cold and then herd them into hallways when the LW Center was in the next building was unfortunate. I am still pulling for Mike but I can listen and even see his face on the internet. I was looking forward to seeing him in person. I was even signed up for the meet and greet @ $250 per couple but decided if the organization was this bad then it would be no better later. I hope it went well anyway and that less enthusiastic supporters don't go away with a bad taste in their mouth.

About 2000 more people showed up than were expected. Even though I arrived 1 hr and 15 min early, my friend and I had to sit in the overflow. I could tell Mike Huckabee was overwhelmed by the Alabama response on such short notice. I was especially impressed by all of the young people there supporting him. Altho we had difficulty hearing the piped in message from the auditorium he was in, he graciously came and spoke with us afterwards and shook our hands.

The Huckabee rally was great! My wife and I got to stay for the Meet and Greet. Mike took several minutes to talk to us. We were very excited to be there and we met some new friends, while we were at the event.

I was very glad Mike took the time to visit both sites.
    •  There were more like over 2000 at the rally at Samford..I could not believe the overwhelming show of support for Governor Huckabee. Way to go ALABAMA!
    •  Apparently there were many more people there than expected. Thankfully Mike had time to talk to the "overflow" crowd which contained abou 1800 people, 4 times more than were there in the original auditorium.

We got there close to two hours before the event began and were in the last group of 10 to make it into the main building from our entrance. Although there were a lot of people standing! I agree the event was extremely under estimated and should have been held in a much larger facility. Also, I was hoping they would "pass the hat". Unfortunately, most of the people were already half-way out before they announced they could contribute outside the doors. Overall, it was fantastic because so many people came to support Governor Huckabee. He gave an outstanding speech and then quickly exited the main building so he could go speak to the people that were stuck in the overflow building. He obviously felt very bad for something he could not control. What a great man! This survey only allows for 3 digits for how many people attended - there were over 2000 so I could only type in 999.

The only bad part was that I was in the overflow room, but Mike still came and spoke to us, which was the best part of the whole thing. I also enjoyed the abundance of free Huckastuff.
